CloneAssist - BETA
Molecular biology features built within eLabNext to support Molecular Biology Research and Process Development labs
Bring sequence analysis and visualization into your molecular biology workflows
CloneAssist (beta) helps molecular biologists analyze, annotate, visualize, and manage DNA and RNA sequences directly within the SciSure platform. Designed to support everyday cloning and sequence-based workflows, it reduces the need to switch between external tools while keeping all relevant data connected to experiments.
SciSure is currently inviting users to participate as beta testers to help shape future improvements. Beta testers receive free access for one year. Upon full release, CloneAssist will be available as a paid add-on.
Key Features & Benefits
- Seamless integration with SciSure
Create a dedicated CloneAssist section within experiments. Files are saved automatically, with previews available when not actively editing. - Plasmid visualization
View sequence data as interactive plasmid maps, including features such as primers, open reading frames, restriction enzymes, and annotations—making it easy to understand construct design at a glance. - Linear and circular sequence views
Switch between linear and circular representations. Views stay synchronized, allowing smooth navigation when selecting features or regions of interest. - Restriction enzyme analysis
Apply restriction enzymes to sequences and immediately see cutting sites, fragment counts, and resulting fragments. - Gel electrophoresis visualization
Simulate gel electrophoresis results for one or multiple reactions, supporting verification of restriction digests and experimental planning. - Work with multiple reactions simultaneously
Create and manage multiple tubes for parallel reactions. Tubes can be opened side by side or collapsed for later use. - Custom feature annotation
Add your own features directly to sequences to reflect lab-specific elements or experimental details. - Flexible import and export options
Import sequences from common formats including SnapGene (.dna), GenBank (.gb), CloneManager (.cm5), and FASTA (.fasta). Export molecules as image files (.png) for reporting or sharing. - Customizable visualizations
Filter displayed elements to match your workflow—for example, showing only restriction enzymes or hiding non-relevant features. - Detailed sequence inspection
Explore DNA or RNA sequences in detail, including base-level views and enzyme cutting sites revealed on hover.
Ideal For
- Molecular biology and cloning labs
- Researchers working with plasmids and sequence-based constructs
- Teams looking to centralize sequence analysis within their digital lab environment
