SciSure offers unparalleled options to record and document research data–it is one of the most versatile ELN solutions in the market.

What we often find, however, is that many research laboratories have a very specific workflow that utilizes particular tools and techniques not already offered in the SciSure. This often results in the need for additional functionalities. That’s why SciSure offers open ecosystem software–we do this by making our SDK and API available for our clients.

What is eLabSDK?

SDKs, or Software Development Kits, are software tools and programs that developers may use to develop applications. With eLabSDK, your team can tailor SciSure to fit the exact demands of your laboratory processes. Customize, integrate, or extend almost any functionality within SciSure by creating ‘custom plugins’ (also called ‘Apps’). Add new features, create new buttons to combine actions, and much more.

How to develop Apps with eLabSDK

• Private Cloud or On-Premises installation users may test and install Apps themselves.
• Cloud Solution users must contact us to request access to our App development environment.

To develop Apps specified in the SDK Documentation, your team will need eLabAPI as well as strong skills in building software with JavaScript. Once the App is complete, you must submit it to SciSure so that we may activate it for you.

Developing Apps with our developing partners

For organizations that do not have the knowledge or resources to develop Apps within their organization, but would still like to extend functionality with a custom App(s), you may have your Apps built by one of our developing partners.
