Nikon NIS-Elements
For seamless exchange of data and notes between Nikon NIS-Elements microscopy-based imaging platform and eLabNext
Centralize imaging data, protocols, and results
The Nikon NIS-Elements integration connects imaging workflows with SciSure, allowing experiment data, protocols, and images to be captured and reviewed in one centralized experiment record.

Key Features & Benefits
What You Can Do
- Upload experiment details automatically: Transfer experiment information, microscope and hardware settings, and custom metadata from NIS-Elements directly into SciSure experiments either as structured tables or file attachments.
- Combine protocols, images, and results: Keep protocols, analysis outputs, and image data together in a single experiment for easier review and interpretation.
- Reduce duplication and data entry errors: Capture complete experiment records while minimizing manual documentation.

Streamlined Imaging Workflows
- Reuse documented protocols: Duplicate existing SciSure experiment protocols and use them directly in NIS-Elements to speed up image acquisition.
- Preview and document image results: Upload image thumbnails to SciSure after acquisition for clearer documentation and reporting.
- Access protocols inside NIS-Elements: Download experiment protocols from SciSure and save them in NIS-Elements’ ND2 file format, allowing researchers to reference key details directly within the imaging software.
Easy Data Referencing
- Link ND2 image data files: Upload the file name and file path of acquired ND2 image data to SciSure for quick access and traceability without duplicating large files.
